does anyone know how the church of satan founder died? i know he died in his home, but from what i can tell he wasnt that old - and oddly enough i havent been able to locate an actual cause of death anywhere.

Yes, he died of fluid in his lungs (Pulmonary Edema). He didn't die at home, it was at St. Mary's Hospital on October 29, 1997. He was 67 years old, a bit too young indeed.

The other answers are correct . But Anton Levay had steped down as the head of the Church of SATAN before his health started fading. Even his oringial victorion house /church are in such a state of disrepair that the current owner is most likly going to tear it down.

Anton Levey died of pulmonary oedema in St. Mary's Hospital San Francisco October 29th 1997.
It was said he died on Halloween but actual records showed this to be wrong by at least 2 days.

LeVay got his Satanic training and information from Aliester Crowley, surely the blackest magician of the last few millenia. That man was the pet of the Illuminati and was sent to America to sew the evils of satanism to the rather naive Americans. LeVay was a willing student and rather outdid his Master's original expectations.

LaVey also forced his female followers into prostitution as part of his "Satanic sex therapy", and kept their earning, beating them when they didn't bring back enough money. In other words...he was a pimp! Despite the claim of not hurting children, LaVey admitted to police that he had been a passive observer while his own grandson Stanton was molested.

Marilyn Manson belong(ed?) to the Church of Satan and certainly carries its depressive insights and moods into his "music".
