If someone is Annovulatory, were they born that way? Or is it something that you develop? If it's developed, what causes it?

Anovulatory cycles (cycles where there's no ovulation) can have many many causes. Hormone imbalances, not enough body fat (this is why many women with eating disorders and female atheletes often stop menstruating) some medications, pituitary problems and others all may cause anovulatory cycles. Near menopause, women may also have anovulatory cycles. Sometimes it's something that people are born with, but sometimes it's a condition that develops later in life.
