I always liked to go first and get it over with. Also that way, once the rest of the class went, no one really remembered yours anyway. Besides, what student really enjoys listening to other student reports.

Usually, I didn't give the report cuz I didn't do it. I would tell the teacher and just listen to everybody else. But, then I'd have to do it the next day at the beginning of class for a lesser grade. But, the sweet thing about that was, that class went on as normal after my report and I felt like nobody even remembered it!

It use to scare me to death...I would pretend I was not ready, get sick, do whatever it took NOT to give a speech. As time went by, I got more comfortable with speaking in front of a group of people...in fact I ended up being a teacher, so I speak in front of folks all the time now....The more you do it, the easier it gets. Remember MOST folks in the audience, want you to do well and are pulling for you.

NO ONE would raise their hand to go first so I would, just to 1. Get it over with and 2. to get it started. And it didn't hurt I got an extra grade for going first.

I like to go second or third. That way I get it over with and the teacher isn't in a fowl mood yet so they won't give me a crappy mark.

Not the absolute first, but near the first. Then I could relax and let the rest of them do theirs.

I hated that, avoided it as much as possible. If I really had to I would make the class laugh.

prefer not to do it at all, but if it wasn't avoidable, go as early as possible to get it over with.
