First off, dont wash your face 'thrice' a day. This will dry your face out. Morining and before bed is sufficient.
But yes, you should not put baby poweder on your face, it will clog your pores.
When you wash, be sure to exfoliate LIGHTLY. Dont scrub too hard. This will help get rid of the red marks on your face. Also be sure to moisturize This helps repair skin.
Even if you have oily skin. You may want to use an oil-free moisturizer. But a moisturizer specificallyfor oily skin would be best.
Glycolic acid cleansers are very essential in the rejuvination of skin. It'll also help get rid of the red spots. Go to mdformulations.com and check out some of their products. I use them. They really turned my complexion around.
Plenty of water is good. Cut out the McDonalds from your diet and try to stay away from processed foods. Fruits and veggies must be increased. You can never have enough in your diet. Try to drink a V8 instead of coke and pepsi.
Increase Vita-A and Zinc.

The red marks left from your pimples are not necessarily scars or the result of any burning. Pimples heal in stages and it is possible that these spots if they are flat and reddish are macules or "pseudo-scars". Macules are the final stages of a pimple and can mark the spot for up to 6 months after. They will eventually disappear completely unlike a scar. My red spots finally went away after awhile, I was worried about that too.

I believe baby powder actually does help dry up oily skin. The powder tends to help keep your face looking fresh all day although I wouldn't depend on powder alone to solve the problem of oily skin. Use facial cleansers, eat right, exercise, and try not to touch your face too often with your hands to ensure good skin.
