This is a mother speaking...no you can not swim with a pad. Have you ever seen little babies with diapers on by the lake? Have you noticed they swell up and end up making a bigger mess? Well, your not wearing a diaper but a pad does about the same thing. I never liked tampons at first either but you should try it if you have to swim during this time. They have all different kinds, so you can find the one that fits you best. If you still would rather not use a tampon then you have to consult with your father so he can get you out of swimming. Your other options if you do not want to talk to dad is seeing the school nurse ( if the swimming is at school of course) and talking with her and telling her about the situation and how very uncomfortable you feel about swimming right now. She can help you as well. I hope this helps.

No, one can't swim while using a pad. Tampons are better for that. You may need to find a different kind of tampon when it comes to size to see if you feel more comfortable.

No, you cannot swim with a pad, only with a tampon. Even using a tampon doesn't stop the period from leaking into the swimming pool.
If you are taking swimming classes, during that time of the month, your father should write a letter to excuse you from swimming. He can simply write that you are not feeling okay, therefore he doesn't want you to go swimming for the next couple of days.

No, you shouldn't swim with a pad, for one it would just get wet and come off, not to mention it wouldn't be very sanitary. There are tampons that are smaller in size that you could try...and plastic applicators are easier to insert in my opinion. Try Playtex Gentle Glide in the lowest absorbency. If you really don't feel comfortable maybe you should just skip swimming until you are off of your period.

Yes, it's okay to go swimming with a tampon, just be sure it's not on a heavy day like the 2nd and 3rd day. The 1st, 4th or 5th you should be fine.

Yes, if you swim with a pad and you feel comfortable don't worried then decide if it is OK later. Life is like that the most of the time trial and error.

Absolutely not. A pad would fall apart and leave a trail of blood in the water. If you are not comfortable wearing a tampon, or you can feel it, you don't have it in correctly. Make sure that you have the right size for your flow and for your comfort. They come in slender regular for very light flow, regular for light flow, super for moderate flow, super plus for heavy flow and ultra for very heavy flow. Push them in far enough so that you can't feel it, but not so far that you can't feel the string to pull it out.
