Get a MySpace page girl!... It Really does help in staying connected to everyone! And hopefully they have or will get one too!... Even if they don't you can always update your page so that when they do look at it, they can keep up with you, and next time you talk to any of them, it won't be so, weird...
Hope it helps girl! :-)
PS: You can always talk to them and plan a date to get together every year, or if that's too much every other year. (It really depends on how far away they are all going to be)
Blogs are really good for helping to keep in touch with everybody too!

Make sure you get their addresses and phone numbers. Stay in contact consistently if you really want to keep these friends. I felt the same way when I was leaving 8th grade but eventually I got caught up with new people.

You should ask them for their email, or right letters to them. Call them once in a while, and tell your friends things that happened at school that you think they should know. Getting instant messenger is also very helpful if you want to be close to your friends. You can arrange times to be online so you can talk to them, and it'll almost be like passing notes during class. You can also hang out with your friends during the weekends, like watch a movie, or hang out somewhere. Make sure that if something rare happens at school, tell them, because I think that if you and your friends are close, you'd tell them something that happened that's unusual, even if you guys don't go to the same school anymore.

this will be tough. Keeping friendships take a lot of effort when they go away. You have to be the one to make the moves because you or your friends may get lazy which causes friendships to end. So every weekend or so, give them a call. Talk about what's up and go to the movies and hang out ever other week or so. That's really all you have to do to keep the friendship. yOU be the one to keep in touch, and They'll get the pattern too!

it happens but one has to go with life.My bro faced the same situation but his real friends keep in touch with him.i too will move out after my teneth but i am not a person who will forget my friends.i will send them mails .2 or 3 in a month and as they are my real best friends(2 of them)they will call me sometimes.one of them also happens to be my distant cousin so we will stay in touch throughout our lives.mY mom has a friend who has been with her since her childhood and even now although she is living in another city.see real friends dont forget u easily.u have to go on with life and study. But at the same time staying in touch with ur close friends wont harm even a little.i know saying is so easy, doing is pretty difficult.Just hope u get on with life even after ur separation. And i wish i too can manage this one year later.

its hard to say good-bye to friends... we all have to do it eventually... hell your friends are moving away, one of my best friends ever died when we were only in 7th grade... so i know how hard it is to let go... but if you can keep in contact with them do it...
