When I put I put my car in park it wont let me take the keys out of the ignition. I have to ram the thing into park a few times before it will release the keys. Why does it do this? And what do I need to do to fix it?

It depends on which type of gear shift you have. If its mounted on the column behind the steering wheel, the lock guard may be bent and will need to be looked at by a professional. First though, next time it happens, keep turning the key towards the lock position while moving your steering wheel slightly from side to side. It may be the steering lock giving you problems.
If it is a floor shifter, there is a cable that runs from it to the steering column. Remove the screws that hold the cover on around the shifter handle and move it to the side. Inside you will see what looks like a long bolt end with a nut attached to it. Turn the nut counter-clock wise about half a turn and try your key. Continue to turn it ccw in 1/4 turn increments until it is easy to remove your key.

why dont you try being nice to your car, and apologizing to it for all the times you wronged it, which probably got you into this mess in the first place

If you don't know the answer yourself then take it to a shop. The problem will only get worst.

your ignition switch needs replacing or the linkage on your transmission needs adjusting??? my guess is the linkage,,easy and should be cheap fix !!! good luck..
