Complete separation of church and state. The U.S. Constitution states "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." I don't feel that this is being fully respected. Just the same as religious people do not want their rights impeded, non-believers feel the same way. No one in America (particularly government) has the right to force their personal beliefs on others. But this works both ways. I can't force you from your church and you can't force me in to church.

We are the best country now. America is as great as it's people make it. Unfortunately our leaders take center stage for the world to see and promote democracy through arrogance. How do we make America better. Make our leaders accountable.

Canadian style socialized medicine.
The poor, in the richest country in the world,often must suffer through ailments rather than spending rent and food money on doctors fees.
Shamefull.
(All the while, the rich get richer. especially physicians)

A broader perspective - Americans tend to see the world through their own perspective. It would do us well to read our news through others' perspectives (foreign news sources).

Find out everybody who voted for GW Bush in 2000 or 2004 and have them executed. That would solve almost ALL of America's problems.
