Huh? A friend isn't a doormat, and it doesn't matter whether the other person is male or female. When you lose your friends, then you'll realize how important friends are in our lives. It sounds like you don't care at all for the women you're referring to.

It seems as if you don't really care about them when they tell you that they need a friend. Would you like it if someone told you the same thing? What if you wanted a friend to talk to but they tell you to get a dog? I don't see any harm to be a friend to them and be kind to them, as true friends are to eachother. I think you're judging them too fast, and you're assuming that they'll just walk all over you, and be selfish and not care about what happens to other people. Keep an open mind and don't judge others so quickly.

I don't agree. The only time you would be their doormat is when they use you and cheat on you. Be their friend or boyfriend.

friends aren't doormats. they're people who help you and have fun with you. none of us understand what you're asking...and why do you single out women like that? why couldn't you just say people? oh, YEAH! i get it...you're a man, so you think it's always the women that do wrong.

i dont. u may think it is b/c ima girl. but i know that sometimes you do need a friend. and its not that your being a doormat or used or anything but sometimes a girl needs someone to talk to. i know thats what her bf or bff is for. but what if it is about her bf..she cant talk to him and sometimes girls dont feeling like talkin to other girls.
and u know what? being a friend to girl in need --one that you like-- can pay off. because usually she falls for the guy that was there for her when her man wasnt.

I don't but then again I am a woman. But some woman just want a friend, nothing more, so try to find the real ones, and help them out.

I suggest you quit being angry and take a good long look in the mirror, if that's what you think being a "friend" is. Sounds like someone has walked all over you - if so, it's because you lay there and took it, so quit whining and learn to stand up for yourself.
