I'd have to say Oscar the Grouch because we all can relate to grouchiness. We've either had our grouchy days or been the victim of a grouchy salesclerk or some other type of person who takes their wrath out on you just because they can.

Burt and Ernie. They had their own crib and they were the puppet version of the odd couple. But I like Ernie better because he knew how to have fun, and Burt liked to do some wack stuff.
