Sometimes, when people get in touch with other cultures, they are uncomfortable asking about it. And that is what creates akward moments... Not one culture is better than the other. And by growing up with only one culture: you cannot be aware of every detail of every culture. Asking about it shows that you're interested in learning about it. And by learning about it, you have less chances to offend someone who was raised with a different culture.

Respect. And not to close myself off and encase myself where I am inacessible to them. We are all humans and there is much to learn from other cultures. In my case I find I am too overawed at the massive amount of cultural reality and cant do it all at once and that it will take a period of time before I see clearly more into the reality than I did at first.

Different cultures have different "personal spaces" and it could offend someone who is not used to it.
