I've had frogs chirping in my backyard for weeks now. Day and Night...and I can’t get any sleep! How do I get rid of them?

PLEASE HELP! - Its not a bogus question. I’m serious!

Edit - The sound of frogs chirping 24/7 is not soothing, I'd rather hear an ambulance at this point. Sadly, my ipod does not drown out the noise...I'm looking for legitimate answers...Sprays? Or something?

Thanks again for your help :)

Depends on where you live..... frogs are protected in a lot of areas. However, if what you have are Bull frogs??? They are not protected and are in fact, an invasive species and you are OK to "deal" with them.
You can also reduce the numbers after they spawn by scooping the egg masses out of the - I'm assuming you have a water source??? water source and letting them dry out.

You know what, I reread that and you say chirping, are you sure it is frogs and not crickets????
BTW.
I recommend that you never come to Barbados as we have Whistleing Frogs all year long and they give a shrill whistle for the whole 11 - 12 hours of darkness every day of the year!

Frogs need water to breed and they are probably chirping for mates. Is there a source of water in your backyard? Pond, swimming pool? Get rid or drain off the water and frogs won't want to stay and breed.

This may sound crazy, but get a cat or leave yours out of doors for a few nights.....I used to have the same problem in my backyard, and when I got a cat, the noise vanished......this may seem like a crazy idea, but make sure the frogs are not of an endangered species first.

Dig a large hole, fill it with water. The frogs will move in there, procreate and thrive. That's what you want. Frogs are very excellent musicians, hear them out.

Do a Yahoo search on "get rid of frogs" and you will see several references out there on the net. I'll list one of them below

my guess is where you're staying is experiencing the wet season.
in normal circumstances, the bull frog is in its mating season around this time.
nothing much can be done if your house is near a pond or lake cause that's the frogs natural habitat.
still if you need to get rid of them, i suggest that you contact your local exterminator. make sure to ask how much they charge for their service before you engage them.
