Commercial "actors" are usually elevated to higher levels of acting by the directors or executives of the commercials. If you have talent or potential, then the commercial executive will recommend you to a higher level of acting. These may include commercials that are famous brands or small movies. Don't expect to be a star in the small movie, you would probably start out as a "background person"(someone not important to the plot, but is there nevertheless). Then, you will slowly rise in roles. It's impossible to get boosted from appearing in low-level commercials to a blockbuster hit in a matter of weeks or even months. =) It takes time, so my advice to you is to bide your time and look for a chance. As I said, if you have talent and potential, you WILL be noticed.

it's not easy. you can't just show up at a commercial audition and hope to get the spot, then hope some big time casting director will spot you, and then BAM- ur a star! u need training. in this industry, your gonna be going up against people who have been studying acting for years!!! u'll need an acting coach, an agent, a manager, and pure talent to make it big. heck, even with that you may not make it big.

Sure you can. As long as you have talent.
