If you are serious about it, try to do regular finger exercises, to build up stamina in your finger. A lot of the time your finger gets tired, to increasing the stamina can help. Be aware that is isn't only speed that helps button mashing. Maybe getting a squash ball, and pressing it while watching TV, or reading a book, or something. I helps.

What I do is rest my thumb or finger on the button without pressing it, and then tense up my arm very tightly. This makes my whole hand vibrate, and if done right, can make for some intensely fast button mashing.

back when we got into boxing what we did was we took a single cigar case u know like the brown tube and cut or melted it down so it fit over a finger. then becasue it was smoot and round it slid very easily over whatever buttons we need to push and kept us from getting controller burn on our fingers

well it depends if you want to utterly abuse it or not, if you don't care of your control then take a tool that goes up and down really fast like an electric tooth brush, ore you could just try what ever position you like best its all up to you
