OK.... I bought a fish a couple weeks ago.. I think it's a mollie? or maybe not.. but it Was speckled black and white, about half white, half black... i left for the weekend, came back, and now it is black, with like two white spots.... I am sooo confused.. What happened? Did it just go emo on me?!?!

That's not really all that strange for fish. It could be from a change in temperature, a change in food or even just from the fish growing up and getting older. It' nothing to worry about though. It may or may not change back depending on exactly what caused it.

It isn't totally uncommon for certain fish to change color due to stress or light. You may however want to keep an eye on your fish for a couple of days. Fish suffering from undue stress can develop ich, white spot or velvet. If the white spots do not leave within a couple of days and the fish looks healthy and fine (no white mucas covering the fish or gills, no white eyes) chances are it just changed color. Loss of pigment in scales. However, if you begin to notice a white cottony fungus begining to cover the fish, he may have contracted ich.

Sounds wierd but its probley from the water temp. or just growing up.
