I have a Mac ibook G4...and I received a Canon Powershot A540 for my birthday. I've been transferring pictures without a problem but the camera has a video feature that i recorded with and I've tried all i could to transfer the video but nothing seems to be working. The program that pops up is iphoto..but it wont let me import the video..and no icon is showing to drag the video to my program. Does anyone have any ideas?

It also Depends on what version of iPhoto you have like if you have v1-v5 its not going to do it, but both v6, and v7 do. Open iPhoto then click on iPhoto in bold on the apple bar when opened. Then click on about iPhoto, ull see your version number there, if you do have v5 which was the original iPhoto for Tiger 10.4, then your going to have to purchase iLife 2007. If you have v6 then they should look like pictures in your iPhoto but when double clicked they turn into quicktime movies.

Which version of iPhoto do you have? Your camera is supported by Mac OS X and iPhoto shouldn't have any problems importing your videos unless the video format isn't supported by Quicktime.

iPhoto takes a while to import videos sometimes so you should wait for it to complete. BTW any error pop-ups when trying to import videos?

You can run Repair Permissions from Disk Utility that's in your Utilities folder.

it incredibly is the biggest problem latest in iTunes. it could purely circulate from iTunes to iPod, yet no longer from iPod to PCiTunes. i take advantage of an "iPod rip" utility to sync my archives between iPod,pc&iTunes with none limit! The utility could be put in into the iPod so it could reproduction&backup to any pc everywhere and every time. I googled for you, Please examine it out! might you like it as I do!!
