First you should "Tin" the soldering iron. Let it get good and hot, then take some solder and melt on the tip. ALL around, and wipe off on a wet paper towel, sponge, etc, it should look nice and shinny. Then hold against what you want to solder and wait about 5-10 seconds for everything to get hot enough to melt the solder. In. real it should melt the solder without touching the iron tip, but, in the way we do may need to touch the solder to the tip to start the melting. When it soldered try not to move anything and let it cool. IF, you did good, the solder joint should be shinny, if, it look dull you moved before it set and you got a "Cold Solder Joint" that may not last.
Be sure the antenna made for your card. Any antenna work for receiving, even a coat hanger, but, for transmitting it may burn out the card. Antennas must match the wavelength of the "Transmitter" to work properly and not burn it up.
