Okay I know shoveling is the main way (and most obvious) and salt keeps the ice off but does anyone have any tips for keeping a driveway clear of snow? I am so sick of shoveling 4 times a day......

I know this is a random question but I'm hoping someone out there has an answer that's just not well known to the public

Air lines use a deicer. It's not cheap. I don't remember for sure but I think it was almost $20 a gallon.

You just spray it on even before it snows.
When the snow builds up you just spray on some more.

When you first put in a driveway you can install heating coils.
Then when it snows you just flip a switch & the snow will just melt away.

Perhaps the best solution would be to get a snow blower.

Tell your kids you lost 20 bucks out there and if they find it you will match it. LOL They fall for money everytime.(Reward them something for effort) If you have no kids pay the price and put in a concrete drive with a heating device. Remember snow blows if there is wind and you can't control it. One more idea get the attachments for a riding lawn mower you won't have to shovel then and easier on the body.

Send your snow my way the kids and I want to go sledding.

A move to Miami ??

Actually your first responder has the only clue I know of
the airline thing with the crytal "t" solution--- no clue at all where you get the stuff OR even if it IS available (?)

Outside of that --- A dang good snowblower is the most reasonable move---still is expense outlay and physical labor but-- it beats the ever living out of SHOVELING !!!

Get a heated driveway. A lot of ppl dont know you can get radiant driveways but you can and its well worth it especially if you live somewhere with long snowy winters! If thats too pricey for you, hire a neighborhood kid to come do your driveway when it snows, kids are always cheap labor.
