No, it's a psychological problem. I don't disrespect them, but I don't respect them either for risking their lives for that. They need help...

First of all, you should really use the spell check. I've been down the anorexic road myself before, when I was in high school and I know its hard to recover from. But, now looking back at it I think I was stupid for thinking that doing something that unhealthy would somehow make me healthy!

It's not about dedication it's about a struggle that they are going through. It's about the fact that they see something that apparently no one else sees. It can also stem from something that they've been through in their past that set them off in a whirlwind of confusion. There's no reason to disrespect someone who goes or has been through that. I'm pretty sure those who suffer from anorexia and/or bulemia aren't finding that desiese as something they are trying to dedicate their time to.

When I was in my teens I was anorexic, I guess you would have to understand emotion abuse. I got down to 90 lbs when I was married to an abusive man, he made my stomach jumpy so it was hard for me to eat, Don't just go around judging people like that.

Yes, Just becuase they have an illness doesn't mean that they do not deserve respect. Would you respect someone if they had cancer or some other illness?

It's not really dedication it's more of addiction that can't be controlled and they need help for it. I feel bad for anyone who has to go through that and they should find they help they need.

I think that anybody who willingly harms themselves needs some extra personal attention. I will respect thier decision, even though i dont agree with it.

I respect people who go that disease, because of reason other than a crash diet. I respect people who get it and stand up and fight it.

It isn't dedication, it is a type of mental illness. They can't help themselves. They don't want to do this, but they can't stop on their own.

I respect them and I feel horrible for them.

I can't stop respecting someone who has a disease.
I can't understand how it happens, and I hope that they recover from it.
