If he's comfortable for you (like an old flannel shirt) , but not quite what you want forever.. then maybe you want a FWB arrangement. - Just be sure you both are on the same page with that. If you are more conservative, then meditate on why you broke up. Pray, talk to a counselor, priest, rabbi, yogi.. Talk it over with your family - or his family if you are that close. Speak to someone you trust and reflect on it. A breakup after nearly a year can be a big step. Don't undo it overnight because he said "please" or " ILU" . If you go back, be sure your original problems are being worked on.
