The truth plays a huge part in my life because I've always been for truth no matter what the consequences. I believe that the truth is what allows me to get sleep every night. I love telling the truth and receiving the truth no matter how much it hurts because I can always say as long as I know.

Don't spend too much time looking for truth. There was a time when nearly everyone on earth believed what they considered the truth, that the earth was flat and the center of the universe. Truth is relative. What seems like truth today may look like fantasy tomorrow.
Was there a time in your life when you believed Santa Claus was real? For every thing we believe is a truth we could find someone who disagrees with us, so who has the truth?
What we consider the truth is based on the concepts we hold in our mind. As we learn new information our truths will change. We live on our lives based on "our truths" but beware few truths are universal.

What is the truth? Facts? What we know to be real based on beliefs or experiences? When should the truth be avoided? Is the truth always good? I believe the truth is normally better then getting into a messy web of lies. But if your dad is on his death bed and your talking about old times and he says can you forgive me for being a bad dad? Regardless of what the history is all about here, I would be leaning towards not being totally truthful and saying of course dad I love you. You where doing your best and I am better for that today. Would you let him pass on hearing your last words that you hate him and he failed you as a dad? This is not from some hidden evil in my life rather it is reflective of a discussion we have had several times in discussion groups at our church.
So basically, I believe the correct, ethical use of the term truth is very important.

The truth has always been very important to me from the time I was a pre-schooler. I have always searched for the truth, found some of it first in science, and then a lot of it in God. The truth is very important because it sets you free. You might not realize that you are in a Cave (Plato's) or a Matrix (The Movie), but the bright light of the truth will wake you right up. Truth balanced with love and courage is a tough combo to beat.

What is true for one may not be true for another. The truth is important in my life as I do not like someone to not tell me the truth when a question is asked of them. Without truth how can you trust. The Big Truth is also important, but I don't really know what that is yet.

The definition of truth has changed for me over the years. When I was younger, I considered the truth to be admitting I had snuck another cookie from the cookie jar. Now, "the truth" is more abstract to me. Regardless, it does play a big part in my life. I like to think of truth as defining myself in the world. I ask the Big Questions like, "who am I" and "why am I here." I draw my answers from my experiences in life. The truth is the answer. No one else can tell me the answer, (my truth) because it would be a lie to me. Finding oneself is the ultimate journey to truth.

The moment you label something as the truth, you call something else a lie. So there is no difference between the two. Yin and Yang play a big part in my life.

I think people should always be as honest as possible. I think lies play a bigger part in people's lives than truth does generally.
Almost everything in life is a lie, and people are still convincing themselves about silly things that should have been figured out along time ago.
Religion, while open to interpretation, in my opinion, is a huge lie and it impacts everyone, even those who don;t believe.
