I really miss the 70's. I think it was definetly the best decade for rock music. I'm glad you asked that question. It is the first question on this stupid sight that made me feel good.

In 1970 I started 1st yr High School , I was 12.6yrs old, I lost my virginity that year , if that's what blokes call it..Through out the 70's I worked on a fishing boat , served in the Army , became a Diamond Driller,---- and when I could ,go to Disco's , Mostly I was in "The Bush" working , I miss the 70's, as I miss my youth , my health and all the parties we used to have, the miles I rode on my bike/s.. The World was not threatened then by people with bombs , only in war torn places.. Now it's World wide.. I miss my women being "natural" as in shaving and cosmetics .. And I miss my hair , only a little bit in summer though .. Last of all I miss the 1970's prices of things , as I think profit margins were a bit different.....

Early 1970's I was in Jr. High . . . Go Go Boots, mini skirts, long straight hair, fringe jackets and purses, the music . . . Later...P.O.W. bracelet, the music, Star Trek on T.V., the first ' happy face ' sticker, Cheech and Chong, record players, transister radio, teased hair, The Peace Movement, the stage productions of Hair, Jesus Christ Super Star, new musical artists on the radio...Elton John, James Taylor, Carole King . . . great memories. I guess what I miss the most is the 'waking up' of the " movement " of that era heard especially through music. Memories of hearing the songs " If you're going to San Francisco " and " The Age of Aquarius " and growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area. That time frame actually had a very large imprint in me that is still within me today.

If I was my age now it would be cool to visit the 70s....otherwise I was only an infant back then and don't remember anything from the 70s. I think the 70s would be neat because it was just past the turbulent 60s where assassinations and racial issues came to a boiling point, and it was a time when we were just cooling down from it all....until Watergate at least.....but hey....the movies back then were huge hits like Star Wars, The Godfather, Rocky, Jaws, Superman, etc....movies were definitely kickin back then. What the heck....I'd go back for a few weeks perhaps. Then I would begin to miss microwave ovens and fuel injected cars and would have to come back to 2007.

In some ways yes. I miss my mom most. Things were less violent then too. They didn't have Crack and all the shootings.

It seemed to be a "freer" society back then. We seem to be moving more and more toward a communist country and younger people don't have a clue because it is so subtle.
