Terrific songwriter and performer from the 70's. Songs still resonate today (such as Peace Train). But every dog (in this case, cat) must have his day and for him that day is yesterday. Nothing but a member of the lunatic fringe now.

I can say that when I was a senior in high school, my Mass Media English teacher did a set of lessons on movies, and brought in Harold and Maude for us to watch. It became one of my favorites and I immediately bought a Cat Stevens tape and listened to it incessantly! "Trouble" is still one of my favorite songs to this day. I also love the song he sings in the movie Almost Famous.

Fantastic musician and song writer. I saw him in concert when I was in Hawaii back in the seventies and he was wonderful. But I prefer the music he wrote back then. Not the weird stuff he writes now. I don't like the music he writes now. I have a piano book of his music that he first wrote and I play and listen to those.
