I couldn't find any helpful websites to answer this question. i want to know the how the people are spread across the west and east coast of malaysia. also, why is the population density in peninsular malaysia different between the west coast and east coast?

population density is higher in west coast than east coast because in past history,west coast have more mines than east coast.so peoples go there mining and they build houses there.and then massive urbanisation happen there,while east coast being leaved behind.and the effect of that unbalance urbannization still can be see today.so that's the answer: because of unbalance of urbanization
