I have barely used the cartridge at all so there is no reason for it to be out; the most ive ever printed in color was a couple of small printers and ive noticed they didnt look exactly like they should

i have tried cleaning the jets on the printer and checking the properties of the printing. There is 9/10 the ink left in the cartridge so i know im not low on color.

Dear Freddy
The root cause is clogged nozzles only. Clean the print head as below

1. Take clean water and lint free cloth.
2. Soak the head with small drop of water. Lave it for one minute.
3. Clean with lint free cloth - light rubbing.
4. Allow it to dry for 2 to 3 minutes.
5. Check printing.

If not OK, try clean with Iso Propyl Alcohol as per above process.
If still not OK try with liquid ammonia.

Note - Liquid ammonia is extremely dangerous liquid looks like water. Consumption may be fatal.

If, it has been working; it may be low on one color, like Green. I not remember the primary colors, but, that what printers use. Blue, Yellow, Red??? Yellow and Blue make green? AND Red and Yellow make "Pink". So, low on one color, OR, the jets need cleaned, this usually happen when a printer not used often. See/Read if it have a Clean Option.

You should be able to go into the properties of your printer and it will give you a guide to how much ink you have left

Your cartridge is perhaps gone. There are three colors in a colored cartridge, if even one of them is finished, then you gotta change it.
