MARIAH CAREY sings BETTER ! It goes wihtout saying. Mariah is not ghetto as ive read somewhere here and Mariah has a 5 or 7 octave voice which basically means she can do whateva she wants with her beautiful divine voice...from alt like deep ton braxton's voice to high pitch whatever u call it. Ppl who say Mariah is all abt high pithc just dont know her songs...I know all of her songs. So all of u just shut yo mouth :)

Christina! Don't get me wrong Mariah can sing but no as well or as strong as Christina, Mariahs voice is fading and becoming croaky but Christina Aguileras voice is as beautiful and powerful as it always has been. teamxtina

That's a hard one. They both are very, very good. I like the fact that when Christina was on Sat Nite Live, she sang a cappella. But then Mariah is good too. Their styles are different. For pop, I'd chose Mariah but for more R&B chops, I'd pick Christina. Good question!

Definitely Mariah Carey in the 90's when she actually sang- before she went ghetto.
