Sex for the first time usually isn't as magical as one would've hoped. There are ways to make it better though! Try the following:
1. Use tampons if you don't already. If tampons are extremely uncomfortable, what do you think sex will be like?
2. Invest in a slim vibrator/dildo. You can use it when you're alone and find out what feels comfortable for you. The practice will also help to stretch out your vagina.
3. Invest in lubricant, like KY jelly. Some stores sell it near tampons and pads, so it's not as embarrassing to buy. You won't regret it! If you're not lubricated, sex will definitely hurt - whether it's the first or the hundredth time!
4. Don't have sex until you're ready. A man who can't wait until you're comfortable isn't worth it!

The only thing that hurts is the fact that you might realize you gave it away to a total loser a few months down the road!

Serioulsy why the rush, sex really isnt all that...its all hype. Unless you are with your HUSBAND and not some school boy its really no big deal. Sex is an expression of love sure, but its not the only way to express it. The media has made sex out to be this BIG deal when really its not.

i lost it a little bit before i turned 16 (16 now) & i have to say it hurt a lot the first time but im also a really tight one so that may have contributed to my uncomfortableness. i wanted to stop & he wasnt even half way in yet. but it definitely gets better. ive had sex about 10 more times & it hurt less & less & stopped at about round 5. you begin to like it more & your body is more used to that kind of action down there. so your friends were right. & please dont think im a wh*re because ive been with my bf for over 2 yrs & we waited a yr & a half before doing this. : ]

People say it hurts but it never hurt for me.

I got my period very early and started using tampons early because I had to get used to it because I was into sports and couldn't be wearing a tampon.

Doing all this running and wearing a tampon broke my "cherry" early so when I had sex for the first time I didn't feel a thing.

If you're 17 your hymen might already be broken already so it might not hurt for you!

For the first time I experienced with my special, some 3 months ago, there was only a slight pain (more like being pricked by a needle or a bite by an ant) For our second one about 3-4 days later. There was no pain - in fact it was quite comfortable.

Mine did hurt a little, but I was really horny at the time so the pain actually felt kinda good.

You should be able to look and see if your hymen is still there. If you have a thick one I would recommend at least trying to stretch it some before you attempt sex.

Well, it depends on if you still have your hymen or not (that's the skin covering your vaginal opening). If you do, then it will tear when you have sex, and it may bleed. That will sting, but then the pain will stop and it will be fine.

If you don't have a hymen anymore, it shouldn't hurt at all (unless the guy goes too fast).

Well, It is uncomfortable, but not seriously hurting. As long as your partner goes slow and takes his time you should be ok. If you are think, ing about it, just make sure you take the necessary precautions.

APPEARENTLY, the first time is quiet painful as there is a lot fo stretching and tearing. After the first couple of times the vagina becomes looser and there is less pain.
