It depends on what questions you are asking. In philosophy, everyone at least has an opinion. But if you asked a question about advanced calculus, I would have no idea what the answer was, but someone else might.
Also, no one knows the answer to everything. But do the same people always answer every one of your questions, in a wide variety of areas? I thought not.
Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, and, hopefully, answers questions accordingly.

If everyone here had a reasonable sense of humor, they wouldn't have answered this question.
But anyway, if someone can think up a question, there's always someone who thinks they can answer it.
Hey, you know what, I don't really think I answered your question. I feel better now. :-)
Plus - Don't forget we get points. People will do almost anything for "points". Even answer questions they don't know the answers to.

I once wrote a small paper that was titled "Those Who Don't Know". I included Einstein and Dr. King. I included the Dean of academics in a major University. I included MYSELF. The story was a bit more in detail but the idea was that "everyone" does not know something. For example who knows my middle name? If you do then where did it come from? Who is responsible for donut holes? My point is that individually we can not possibly know everything. TOGETHER we can begin to understand a wider perspective of the meaning of life and TOGETHER as a team we will be more successful. I suspect that a lot of answers are just opinions and or attempts at easy points.

While it is true that no one person can know all things many people can know alot about a little, and with each of these people knowing alot about a different little piece of the puzzle there will always be someone to give you the right answer.
The problem comes when someone who has the wrong answer but believe whole heartedly that it is right comes along and give an answer, this answer is wrong but is given with the same conviction that a right answer is given.
Hope this helps.

because that's the point in asking if you don't want to have a response than don't do any question. like you say no one can know everything... but they can help by providing an answer. so be thankful that your questions are been answered...

Even asking a random question like "Why did the goose chase the sneaker down the Yellow Brick Road if ice cream has no bones?" would get anwers because people are going to be more compelled towards unusual questions but if you say something like "OmGz!!!11 Mii BoiFrIeNd JuZt DuMpD Mee!!!1!!" people will be unresponsive

No but they can get two points. And you are asking a lot of people. The odds are someone knows. If it is a valid question.
