Indeed there are several hotels near Singapore General Hospital (SGH). And for your info, SGH has been stragetically located in the Central Business District (CBD) and is really near to Havelock and Chinatown's area where most hotels are built.

Plenty in Chinatown area which is close to SGH. Hotel 81 at junction of New Bridge Road and Upper Cross Street is quite decent. Around $120/ night. Cheaper ones around the next few streets in Chinatown. Check out link below.
