I never thought humans were all that special anyway....
An alien would probably pretend to be God though.
But people are more prone to beleive in some guy in TX
named Vernon, who changed his name to David and claims to be Jesus.
Although I dont beleive much in "religion" I do beleive in a god.
Some things are just waaaaaaaaaaaaay to funny to be Natural.
I do beleive in elolution though... but I think monkeys came from us.
NOT the other way around.

Well more and more people are losing faith in God (I personally have never believed), so aliens landing on Earth would only provoke more of that, but not everyone would lose faith, and that's guaranteed.
As for specialness- We are quite sepcial. So would the aliens that visited/ captured us be special. The likeliness of sophisticated lifeforms outside of Earth is not that small, but the likelyhood of those aliens ever coming even in contact with us is rather UNLIKELY, considering that the nearest planet that could possibly have life is quite a few light years away (over 200 million).
They would have to have clearly much more sophisticated technology.

I never thought humans were all that special just based on the variety of our fellow terrestrial life, so a few aliens wouldn't change that anyway.
Whether or not there are aliens is pretty meaningless to the argument of whether or not there's a God. If there is a God, why wouldn't he create other beings? There's not a religion I know of with a human exclusivity clause in it. And most religion's record his creation of other non-humans (i.e. angels, giants, avatars, the "beast"). So finding yet another life form wouldn't have any serious affect on religion's viewpoint of "God" one way or the other.

Have you considered that we ourselves are aliens? If not, take a look at the way we treat each other today. The human race is full of prejudices and out casted people. Sometimes i wonder how we can be so cruel. To me, humans are special because they are capable of conjuring questions like this one, And i already believe we are not the only ones who can do it. finally, I'm an atheist.

Yes humans will always be very special to God. As for aliens, is it possible for fallen angels to masquerade as them? What a great end-time deception that would be. Hmmm. Did you know there is a lot of information out there concerning this very topic?

First of all, I don't think that humans are special - a soul is what's special. Secondly and finally, aliens would prove to us that there is a God.

Yes, I would think that there is a God is everywhere. Although I think that if aliens were to land on earth today i would probably die of fear.

It seems like we limit what God can do and I guess are somewhat narcistic in believing that we are his only worthy creation. There must be more than just us. We can't possibly fathom all things, nor can we grasp the thought that there might be something different than a beginning and an ending. Our minds can only handle a limited version of what really is. Still something makes things move, for lack of a better word...God Who has many names.

No such thing as aliens- they are elder brothers and sisters in the spirit. This might be hard to grasp; but, as the blood makes us human no matter what color we are; the spirit makes us all related no matter where we come from. Chew on that!
Peace...
