You seem to have a couple of questions. First of all, tinted contacts are probably an option for you. They can look very natural. They also are available in a wide range of prescriptions, even for astigmatism. Power doesn't affect the cost of the lenses. Tinted contacts (Freshlook) should only be worn for 2 weeks before replacing. They should be cleaned and disinfected every night. If you only wear them occasionally, you might want to use a monthly replacement lens. This will also reduce your cost. These are called "Expressions". You doctor will have to prescribe them.
Liquid in the eyes is pretty normal. It's your body's way to keep your eye clean. Excessive tearing with or without contacts could be a problem. Infections, generally, are not painful, just red and sometimes dry and itchy. Only an optometrist or ophthalmologist can be certain.
Infections can be viral or bacterial, and you won't be able to tell. Leave that to your eye doctor. If you think you have an infection of any kind, don't wear your contacts until your have been checked.

Yes, the colored ones are great! They enhance the color of your eyes and that is great for confidence building. People do notice eyes! Remember to always purchase from lens experts. The best buy I believe are at Walmart. You can take your prescription to their vision center and they can order for you.

Usually eye infections really hurt. If you have the lenses in and your eyes are watering and hurting, maybe some redness...then you need to get them checked out. Always keep your hands clean before touching your eyes. Keep your lenses and eye products in a safe and clean area in your bathroom or bedroom.

if you are wearing glasses, why not wear colored contact lenses that are graded so you can both have clear vision and look great at the same time. I am a lens wearer since 1992 and i have tried colored ones myself.

I wear contact lenses during the day and glasses very first thing within the morning and at night time.My eye physician advised me that carrying glasses, even just a little bit,is just right for the eyes when you consider that they get activity.

You can get the colored ones for sure.

It sounds like you need to clean your lenses more often.

You know you have an eye infection when your eyes are all red and itchy.

The colored ones look so fake. 100 % positive, you'll look like Michael Jackson on Thriller !!
Use glasses, they are sexy.
