on the plane that has not moved for 9 hours?

Politics has nothing to do with the issue. Left or right, you run a gamble when you travel by air.
Anyone who travels by air enteres into an agreement with the airline that they will behave in a certain way when on the airplane and if they don't, they can be punished accordingly. Furthermore, complaining does absolutely nothing. You are well within your rights to whine and moan all you like, but it only adds to the tense situation. The best thing to do is accept that neither the captain nor the stewardess has any power over the weather and make the best of the situation.

and how is this the "rights" fault? I think it is the "lefts" fault... Maybe it is God's fault. or Mother Nature.

I have sat on a plane for 5+ hours on the ground, while waiting for a window in the weather to open in my destination. They didn't want to unload us, because the weather could lift any time and so we sat.

So what do you want the passengers to complain about? In my case, they gave us snacks, drinks, and allowed us to move about. The other time it happened they even fed us dinner. Complaining would have done nothing. Then because I missed my connection, the airline gave me a hotel voucher, ground tranpostation voucher, free breakfast and of course, new flights home.

The reason for the delay might be out of their hands or would you prefer to fly in hazardous conditions? You need ALL of the information before complaining.

There is no reason that the passengers should have been on that plane so long. But what does that have to do with "righties"? I surely hope you're not going to be stupid enough to blame this on partisan politics.

I wouldn't be silent. They would have arrested me by the 3 or 4 hour of delay....cause I'd been screaming at someone.
