lot but lately I'm starting to worry about him, like maybe he has a drinking problem or something. Could my friend be an alcoholic?

Maybe it runs in his family and he doesn't want to be like the rest of them. Maybe he is on some kind of medication that he shouldn't drink with. I don't care for drinking myself. But I'm ok. I like beer but I won't drink it cause I know I'll want more and more and then I'll be drunk. So for this very reason I won't drink it. And other alcohol I just don't like that evaporating feel in my mouth. I'd sooner iced tea. Not everybody is into it. That doesn't make you weird. You should be happy that he is there for your sorry a$$ for when you are no good drunk. At least you know you'll probably make it home with him around. You should be a better friend and thank him instead of pick on him. Good friends don't do that to good friends. Besides. There's more to maturity and responsibility then there is to partying and getting drunk. Think about it.

How could he be an alcoholic if he doesn't drink? Do you mean a recovering alcoholic? You shouldn't tease him, dude. Maybe he does have a problem. And also, assumptions never get you anywhere, so ask him!

not everyone likes to drink but still likes to go out. doesn't mean he is an alcoholic maybe he just fears he could become one. maybe he has seen first hand what it can do to a person and wants to avoid that path. try to quit teasing him. you don't want to be the reason he gives in to something he is passionate about not doing.

The word friend comes up here---what kind of friend are YOU? Maybe everyone is entitled to make their own choices--maybe he has a sugar problem, maybe he has a past issue with alcohol, maybe you should grow up and mind your business. God, get a life

Depending on his age and weight , he may simply have a low tolerance for alcohol, and not like the way it makes him feel. Or he may not like the taste.

Easy way is to ask him , but either way, dont pressure him to drink. You have a perfect safe driver to take you home.

Its a matter of choice!!! If he doesn't want to drink its up to u as a friend to respect him, not try and shut him down: he doesn't go on that u act like a complete idiot when u drunk..so let him be, & dont be a bad influence..come on.

No, your friend is just smart and more mature than you and your other friends. He knows how to have a good time without needing alcohol first.
