why students interest are more in use of tools than speaking lectures?

When you use more modalities, the more interest you have. In layman's terms, the more active learners are, the more into it they are. In a lecture, the only modality is auditory. With manipulatives or aides to use, touch and auditory and visual are the modalities in use.

tools are fun. lectures are boring. also, most people learn better by doing, rather than by listening.,taking understandable notes is obscure art form also
