If you have shaved the area, there's your problem. It really messes up your skin and makes it irritated and itchy. In that case, use some aloe vera gel or baby powder or both until the hair grows back and then leave it alone!

If you haven't been messing with the hair, you probably have a fungus - maybe jock itch. Talk to your pharmacist about a good product to clear it up. If you can't get the skin cleared up with an over-the-counter cream, you may have to see a doctor.

Generally showering no more than once a day (unless you've been working out and are really sweaty), keeping the pubic hair intact, and wearing cotton underwear will all help keep the area free of irritation. (You should shower at least every other day, but showering too often strips the protective oils from your skin and makes it more vulnerable to bacterial infections and fungus.)

Are you absolutely sure you dont have pubic lice? Have you shaved down there lately? If so, it itches when the hair grows in. Otherwise I highly recommend Gold Bond brand medicated powder, it's great stuff.

Are you not washing your pubic area correctly? If it gets real hot, sweaty, and smelly down their often this could be the problem. Not washing properly will cause irritation.

Try taking showers more often and use a gentle body wash, not perfume soaps like axe. and try a powder.
