I'm new on this, having just got my mice last week, but this doesn't sound normal to me.You didn't say what sex they both are. Is there any chance of having pregnant females that are in labor? One of ours suffers from seizures. Call the vet tomorrow and ask their advise on the breathing. In the mean time, place the cage in the warmest room tin the house, keep them away from windows, doors, and heat vents (any drafty area). See if this doesn't help any. Go ahead and cover them at night for extra warmth. Keeping a towel over the cage is alright especially if it is really cold inside, like during a power outage. Make sure the litter is at least 2"-3" or more deep for them to burrow into.

are they over weight or female. if they are female they could be pregnant and in labour. they also can get a respiratory infection if they get to cold. put a thin blanket wrapped around the bottom of the cage and make sure to tuck them in all the way at night. if you are using a wire cage make sure it's something that you don't mind being chewed on. do not have the cage near a window. if it is move it to another part of the room if possible. any questions you can e-mail me

I had mice so many times. I even had 10 mice in one cage once. Anywho....Since he/she's breathing heavly this means he/she might be sick, or die. Are they walkling wobbly? Is there fur sticking up? If so...He/she might pass away....Pray!! God always answers prayer! Even for the littlest things!
