I know T3 lines are very expensive, but would it someday become commercial enough that it becomes very common?

Simply put, no. The local loop costs of a T3 are too expensive and most people don't need the service level agreements that come with them.

I do believe that most houses in a few years will have connections with bandwidth capacities that are only seen in the datacenter today. This question is kinda like asking ten years ago if everyone today would have a T1 line? The answer is no, we don't have T1s to our houses, for the most part. However, many people have connections that use a different technology that is both faster and cheaper, like FTTP or cable internet (downstream only).

Unlikely, since T3 lines are old technology.

It is plausible that homes will have some kind of fiber optic connectivity for all comminications at some point.

has history taught you nothing? as with everything there is always something that comes out that is superior and makes in this case T3 obsolete, when this happens T3 will be far cheaper and affordable.

I think you'll see ubiquitous wi-fi before you see everyone on a T3.

Yes, it would be because as technology advances there would be a new source will be more faster and powerful. WEB 2.0 will be like web 3.0 or even more.

When everyone buys it, or its the market standard and everyone gets it free. That wont happen until they come out with something even better though. Hope this helps, Brodster
