I did a few situps today and I was fine about 2 hours later I started to get these weird stomach pains. Then it went down towards my pelvic area and too my back, I could not even walk.

So I took 1 motrin 800 mil. and I thought that I was going to pass out because the pain was worse. What does this mean? Has anyone ever experienced that type of intensed pain after doing situps? What do you think, could be the cause of that?

Please let me know... Thank you for all the responses..

Motrin is a non-steroidal inflammatory. It functions similar to a steroid, but it doesn't have all the same effects.
The one thing that is imperative is that you have to take it with food (unless it is enteric coated -- which most are not) so it dissolves in your stomach (if it is enteric coated, it sissolves in your intestines). Since the base is acidic...it can ulcerate the stomach lining if there is not enough mucus protecting the stomach. this is most likely what happened. they are safe to take in limited quantities, but take them with food. The most that you can take daily is 2400Mg. (3 X 800)
good luck

If you're still hurting, you may need to go to the hospital. It could be more serious than a muscle strain.
