Two or more intergrown crystals of same mineral. Penetration twinning is one crystal growing into another related by a rotation axis: common with orthoclase. Contact twinning is mirror image crystal twins related by a mirror plane: common with quartz. Cyclic twinning--repeated or multiple contact twins related by rotation axis: common with aragonite.

A twinning whisp it is a type of an inclusion
like a nic or a chip.
Ok so I am a gem freak....
it is my favorite inclusion it looks like cotton candy inside of a gem. I see it in a lot of diamonds.
