Blacks do the same with the N-word. Everyone perceives things differently. Why don't blacks make up their minds? Rappers use the N-word about 100 times in one "song". Heaven forbid if a white person lets the word slip. Poor Michael Richards was practically crucified for using a word blacks call each other as a friendly greeting.

This word lacks the degrading and oppression that certain other words have in reference to other races..... Sure it is meant as an epithet, but really doesn't hold a candle to some of the words that racists have coined over the years. I personally don't find it offensive, but I grew up in northern New England. I think it might be relative to your home state and region more than some other words might be.
Hope this helps clarify your question a little.

I think people take the whole issue of "racist words" too seriously.
I personally couldnt care less. I can tell the difference when someone is using a word jokingly and when theyre using it hatefully to insult. Its in tone of voice, body language, etc.
And funny thing, I've never been insulted through use of any race-related word. One of my black friends gets a kick outta callin me and other whites "honkey", "cracker" etc. But he always says it with a laugh, because its a damn JOKE! Not to mention that when his black friends are around, he refers to me a "white ni.g.ga".
Ya'll seriously gotta stop gettin so worked up over words. Its not the words that matter, its the intent. One my gay friends for example constantly refers to himself as a f.a.g. and just uses it as another word for gay. But I'm sure someone could find offense in that, even if there is none intended. Catch my drift?

the same goes w/ the N word. i wont say it because i dont like it but the word cracker to me is kinda funny. kinda like honky. lmao. im not prejudice so the slang words for whites dont bother me just because i dont really listen to what other ppl think of me. and yes i am white, or a honky or a cracker. which ever u want to call it. lol.
i also no there is 2 different ways and 2 different meanings for the N word.

I don't know because I'm against anything racially demeaning. but in the same context, why can black people say the n word, talking to their friends or whatever, but yet no one else can? it's kind of a 2 way street, right?

Largely because white people have different opinions about all sorts of things. There is not some universal, monolithic, single "white" mind that thinks for all white people. White people are individuals.
There are not annual meetings of white people wherein they decide which words they like and do not.

it seems black human beings call themselves the n observe (with an a) because of the fact they lack a manner of greeting one yet another - the observe in the Nineteen Eighteen Eighties became into "brother". The n observe comes from people who incredibly do unlike black human beings, that's paying them a tribute, while they could be forgotten.

Quite honestly, the only folks who USE the word, "cracker" are black.
So why is it up to whites to approve or disapprove its usage?
Your question confuses me.
