Trashy. I work in a garage, and I get quite a few cars in with them and most of the time, i find they slip on the wheel, or you're hands slip over the cover. I alwasy end up taking them off, and putting them back on after the repairs have been done. I have seen maybe one or two out of a hundreds that have been decent looking and they have been braded into the original steering wheel, on most cars they don't look too bad. Over all, I would never let a steering wheel cover touch my truck. If I didn't like the steering wheel how it was, I would replace it (and before people start crawling up my *** about the air bags, my truck is a late 80's and is not equipted with airbags)

personally i don't think so, it sounds weird, but i've got one in my 2001 impalla. my cars steering wheel is leather wrapped, and it gets cold in the winter, so i put on a steering wheel cover that matched the color of the car's interior. my car interior is gray leather. so i got a grey fleece steering wheel cover.

now i do take it off at the end of winter, but thats not because i think its trashy. i take it off because the impalla has steering wheel controls for the radio. that cover interferes with those controls.

but no i don't think its trashy. i say if you like it then thats cool.

I've bought a few steering wheel covers. They always start out being nice (in my opinion), but then they start to fray, unravel, and otherwise look terrible, and they get donated to the thrift store. So my advice -- don't buy one.

I always thought the original steering wheel was supposed to look classy. If you have a cracked steering wheel,it may make it look better, though.
