I'm not a shy person around my friends, but when I'm around people I'm not as comfortable with, I don't talk much. I talk occasionally, but everyone always says I'm so quiet. And then I tell my other friends that people say that about me and they just laugh! Cuz I'm not quiet all the time!
I don't want to barge in on people's conversations, especially if I don't know them that well. When should I talk? And what should I say? I don't understand. Most of the time people leave shy people alone....but everyone always bugs me about it.

I guess....what do I do/say to seem like I'm not shy so people will stop bugging me about it?

I'm kind of like that around new people, also. When people start talking, just add to their comments when you get the chance. After I know someone for awhile, they usually can't get me to shut up!
