When the pores are too open that means they are clogged. A complete deep cleansing, preferably done by a esthetician, followed with at-home use of a cleanser and toner containing beta-hydroxy acid (salicylic acid) will minimize them and keep them clean to avoid reocurrance.

sounds like he has large pours..maybe a good regime of pour minimizer cleanser, toner, moisterizer would help. neutrogena makes a good one. i use it cause my pours are a little larger than i would like too.

you cant close them permanently, that is how your sweat and oil gets out of your body. men have very different skin than women they shave and their skin is much thicker and rough than ours.
