Why then are the governments and corporates hiding this aspect and promoting AIDS awareness, as if its a neutral act or a mistake ?

Promiscuous sexual behaviour lead to AIDS. In the developed countries, there is awareness about the problem of unprotected sex and hence the low level of AIDS incidents. In the developing countries there is less of awareness and more of poverty which pushes the women into the trade, unmindful of the consequences of unprotected sex. I had an AIDS speaker come into my high school, his wife past away from AIDS. She was infected with HIV by a blood tranfusion because of delivery complications with her first born. They didn't know until after she had her second baby that she had HIV. Both baby and mother became very ill short after second baby's arrival.

I do believe that more MEN AND WOMAN should use barriers before engaging in sex.

Depends on what geographical area you're talking about. There are multiple reasons for the spread of HIV. Poverty is one of those. Lack of awareness is another. But even in poverty stricken areas where women are forced to sell themselves to survive or "pay off family debt," condoms are being used more often because the women and their "customers" are aware of how HIV is spread.
On the other hand HIV hasn't stopped spreading in rich countries (like the US). In well off countries, it started spreading because of sexual indulgence (multiple partners) and lack of awareness.
