Why do people think I'm dump because I'm cross eyed?

People always under-estimate me and I think its because my eye turns in a little... I can't help it. But people always treat me like I'm retarded when they first meet me. Why?

Just because my eyes cross doesn't mean I'm stupid.

I think you should use this to your advantage. Since some people expect less of you, it gives you the ability to go under the radar and when they find out how intelligent you are they can be caught by surprise and overwhelmed. That gives you a great advantage.
Also you can weed out shallow people. An intelligent person will not base a person's worth in how one looks but how one acts. If someone rejects you or exercises prejudices on you just because of how you look, it shows how shallow he/she is. If that person doesnt reject your or shows prejudice, you can tell that is a good and intelligent person. Those are the ones who you want to attract. Not the shallow ones.:)

Some retarded people do have weird eyes. If you look at it from someone new to you's point of view, theyre not sure if youre retarded or not, so they start off simple because they dont want to make you feel stupid by talking over your head (like it would be if you were actually retarded).

I know its no fun having something like that rubbed in your face all the time and its got to make things awkward, but I guess its just something you have to live with.

Some people are ignorant, and when some people see you for the first time, they will see your eyes and they think "oh she must be a retard". But your not, so when you do come across those people just ignore their ignorance and prove to them that your not stupid!

If you have friends or know people they still treat you like that, they are not true friends so just avoid them and find people who appreciate you for who you are.

kids are cruel, and they grow up to be mean adults. Some are adults who are bored, who are without entertainment, and who are abusive and had abusive parents, or parents who never trained them properly.

The best you can do is ignore them, and go about enjoying what you like to do and never let them take away your joy in life.

If in later years you still feel self-conscious about that then maybe something can be done, like training the eye with corrective glasses for a few years (if that's possible) or an operation. Otherwise if that can't be corrected you can find yourelf an enjoyable job or career working behind the scenes to be away from the bullys if you want to.

cuz, ppl look in eyes when talking, but cross eyed ppl cant really do that, so stupid ppl think u are dumb. also movies from 30s and 40s ish era, they all made cross eye when they were acting dumb, that might be one of the reason too.

Because people who do that are shallow or just insensitive or maybe both. Ignore people like that. You are better than to let other people make you feel something that you know isnt true, and poeple who love you know its not true.
