i made this poem for a girl i knew. I recently met her again and i dont know if a poem is adequate or appropriate. It has no sexual inuendo or content but is very personal. I wonder if i should give it to her or not.

Give it to her if the poem you wrote is straight from your heart.

I've done this before and they really appreciate it! If she doesn't... well, it is her loss.

Personalized letters/poems/anything is way better than a store bought Hallmark!

Remember: carpe diem (seize the day).

good luck=)

I did that one time for a guy that I liked, on Valentine's Day, which might have made it seem of less value since it was on that day...not really of less value, but it might have looked like I was just trying to do it because of Valentines.
Anywho, it was from my heart, and well, I never got a word back from him even though we went to classes every day and saw each other. It hurt that I put myself out there, kinda vulnerable & no response. I'd say it really depends on your relationship with the girl & how you'd think she might react to it..if at all (in my case). Hope you have a better outcome than mine.

If you are pretty much strangers that only occasionally meet in passing, that might seem a bit weird. However if you are aquantances and you have attractions for her, go ahead! Some girls like it, some aren't crazy about it, but most will at least appreciate the thought.

unhappy to assert, without pattern to choose, my first impact is that maximum "poetry" belongs in a sock drawer someplace. Poetry is emotion crystallized after due mirrored image. it is no longer the way you experience, however the thank you to additionally make the different individual respond. ward off rhymes and cliches. cut back decrease back on the words. provide it to somebody who's a poet and enable them to assist. in spite of everything, i'm specific you will provide it to her. the two specific that she would be able to say something banal, study it as quickly as, tutor all her woman acquaintances... Pardon me, forget approximately approximately my skepticism. confident, deliver it to her yet first verify for suited spelling and punctuation

I don't see why not. No guts, no glory!
Why don't you post it here or email it to me, and I can proofread it and make sure you're not looking illiterate.
