Tendulkar should become the Player-and-coach of the team.
Non playing coach maybe the same as the Chief selector Dilip Vengsarkar.

After Greg Chappel, the team will be in need of a coach who can take it to the next level, i mean first it has to start winning games and tournaments. If India wins the world cup, then the coach must be a such person who can keep on the winning potential. And this can be done only by a person who can study the minds of the cricketers well and guide them. So it can be any one for that matter but that coach should make India keep up their heads high.

I doubt we have a coach to take our team to very high level. If you tick out sachin,Dravid,Ganguly what we have left out after a year from now is raw talent. We need an expert and I don't think Mohinder or Sunny or Kapil are capable on a long term job.We need some body like Moody who has become good. Please do not even thing that our past players can be good coaches. We will end up in a very big mess.

I wouldn't actually mind having a foreign coach for our team, as long as he's not as disruptive and controversial as guru gregg. Bob Woolmer, maybe???? He revolutionised pak cricket until recently, where the players have slumped due to internal problems and spats e.g. with shoaib akhtar.
But, I would love to have john wright back as our coach... man, just look at our records with him as our coach...... You will get your answer........

who knows,i don't think greg chappel is a good coach.look at the indian team, they can only win in their home soil with their thousands of croud behind them.i don't think that indians can win in overseas like they play in their home.
