A dodo is a large extinct flightless bird. They were killed and rendered extinct because the island(s) they live on were near shipping lanes, and the ships' crews would go and bludgeon them to death for fresh meat on their long sea voyages. Eventually they were all killed. They never developed a fear of man, so were easy to approach even after seeing members of their flock were killed. Thus when we know someone who is incredibly dense, we call them a dodo.

Moas are way cooler than dodos. they stood at about 13 feet tall, and although thier body shape would have made it difficult, they probobly could be RIDDEN! like the limo of the 1600's! To bad the stupid colonizing people and the voracious native polynesians ate them to extinction...

i guess you're refering to the extinct dodo bird that was killed off by sailors who came to their islands when the ships passed by.
