Definitely the 60s then the 90s, but I would put the 00s over the 80s. Although I can only seem to find the good new music on one station (KDGE in Dallas) - seems like everywhere else I go (traveling for work), I find junk on the radio, even on stations that supposedly have the same format (and are owned by the same company). So I end up finding a classic rock station and HOPE that the station doesn't consider the 80s to be "classic," which unfortunately it seems that they have begun to do...
Of course, that doesn't work for the morning, because in the mornings - even on KDGE now - most stations have crappy talk show crap on non-stop, with no music. So then I try to find Jack or Bob or whatever they call the station with the no-DJ, all fairly mixed music format. I like DJs. I just like music, too, and if forced to choose between nothing but idiots (imho!) like Lex and Terry or no talking at all, I'll choose... my mp3 player!!! :-) Or Jack or Bob or whatever they call that station in that particular city, if my drive isn't long enough to warrant plugging in my mp3 player.
Sorry. I got off-topic. 60s rock and 90s grunge really can't be beat. Hard to choose between them. I like some 70s music (Fleetwood Mac, Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, although they might not have started in the 70s?), but really not so fond of most of the hair bands, even though that was the time I was in high school and college!!

I like the 90's best for music, even though I like the 80's also. I like basically anything from the 60's and after, but before then I don't really like much music. I like a few bands from the 00's, but most the bands I like in this decade were around in the 90's

Every decade has their great music like the 60s had the beatles and the temptaions and the rolling stones, janis joplin, jimi hendrix, the doors.
70's- Queen, David Bowie, Trex, James Brown, Led Zep
80's Duran Duran, Culture Club, Prince
90's Mariah Carey, whitney houston
and so on. I think in my honest opinion all of these decades are great but I prefer late 60'sto early and mid 70's/

i can't pick just one because there are bands I love in all those decades. You are also forgetting the 30's and 40's can' beat jazz and blues. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about todays music, I thought I was just getting old.

It's great to hear someone is excited about music as I am. I think the nineties but thats because that was when I was a teenager. Grunge, has something warm and comforting about it.

I prefer the '80s punk, post punk, prog rock and new wave. That was the time when the baby boomers were growing up and discovered how much fun it was to celebrate sex, drugs and rock and roll.

I agree with you 110%. That is exactly how I would list them. It is impossible to find good music these days.
