they could of easily tied it with an easy 2 or layup he shot the 3 ause he know he pro miss. it.

but it would of looked as like he had tried for it then he could just say he dint and tell the truth.

They did try. They attempted a three pointer after Kobe's dunk that would've given them the record. I personally think its bad sportsmanship but its the All-Star game, so I don't think the other team would mind too much.
